Program description
Nuquí is a small but happy town on the gulf of Tribugá in western Colombia. A place away from roads and noise in the middle of a stunning jungle. The place is known for its untouched dense rainforest, the wild nature and the huge humpback whales.
Every year, more than 1,000 whales escape from the Antarctic coldness and started a 8,000 kilometers journey to reach punctually in July Colombia's Pacific coast, their summer residence. They stay here up to 5 months to give birth to their babies and raise them. The zone is for this reason perfect for whale watching and to start expeditions in the rainforest.
Close to Nuquí you can find some beautiful Ecolodges, which are located beachfront and with the tropical rainforest as a backdrop. Here you can swim and enjoy the amazing nature in all its splendor. Through interesting excursions and social projects, you can also visit and get in touch with the friendly native communities of the zone. Vacation on the Colombian Pacific coast simply means calmness, balance and hospitality of the locals.
